Sound Healing

β€œThe knower of the mystery of sound knows the mystery of the whole universe."

β€” Hazrat Inayat Khan

Today, we are beginning to rediscover just how important sound and music are for us. Modern science now supports the ancient belief that all matter comes from vibration or sound. Physicists have found that the physical world is made up of vibrating energy.

Sound Baths

Sound Baths are a way to relax and unwind, quiet your mind and allow your body to restore balance. All you have to do is lay down comfortably on your mat and snuggle under your blanket with your head resting on your pillow or cushion. The sounds of Native American Flutes, Tibetan Bowls and a wonderful Nepalese Singing Gong will wash over you and maybe take you on an amazing journey!

My Sound Baths are sometimes in a hall but mostly in my home where I keep numbers small. I also work in collaboration with Alexandra Giffoni at the Yoga Barn (and also in my home) when we offer a very relaxing and restorative session with Yoga Nidra, Sound and Reiki.

Sound Healing Treatments

Sound has been used for healing for thousands of years. Sound Healing is a natural way to treat pain and illness and has no harmful side effects. It is effective on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

Sound Healing is the therapeutic application of sound and music to the body/mind of a person with the intention of bringing them into a state of harmony and health. As a Sound Healer, I work with my voice, tuning forks, Tibetan bowls, flutes, rattles, gong and other instruments.

Assemblage Point

Re-Alignment

The Assemblage Point is the main place where our energy field connects with our physical body and is directly connected with our life force energy.

The Assemblage Point lies in the centre of the chest and its position has a direct effect on our physical and psychological health. When the Assemblage Point is correctly aligned we will feel positive and happy, we will be healthy and interact well with other people. When the Assemblage Point is out of alignment we will feel unwell, anxious, lacking in energy and feel that life is constant struggle.

I like to start a Sound Healing session by checking and if necessary adjusting the position of the Assemblage Point, with the use of crystals. If the assemblage point is in it's correct position, sound healing is even more effective.

Sound Circle

I used to run this as a regular monthly group, but have recently changed it. Keep an eye on my events page or register your interest with me and I will get in touch when I set a date.

Using our voices (no experience necessary!) we will tone, chant and sing together. We will use mantra and explore ways we can keep ourselves healthy or restore health using sound. Part of the session is what I have termed musimeditation! Improvised exploration of tuned and untuned percussion instruments (also no experience necessary!) which brings people into the present moment and quiets the mind.

The group will meet at Hills View in Barnstaple.
