About Me

Teaching and Playing

I studied music at Sussex University, BAHons, with flute lessons at the Guildhall School of Music. I specialised in performance and composition.

After University, I trained as a community musician with 'Community Music' in London, a one year course validated by Dartington College. Cert. Training skills (Music) Dartington.

I moved to North Devon at the end of 2008 (near Barnstaple) and have played for shows, including The Music Man, Les Miserable, Phantom of the Opera, Made in Dagenham, Into the Woods, Barnum, Half a Sixpence, 42nd Street and Elf. I have also had the honour of playing with Sinfonia Classica on a couple of occasions! So far that has meant I've been called upon to play flute, alto flute, piccolo, soprano sax, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax and clarinet! Lots of fun!

I play flute in North Devon Sinfonia and Hartland Chamber Orchestra and baritone saxophone with the Golden Coast Big Band and a couple of other local groups.

Sound Healing

I qualified as a Sound Healing Practitioner in May 2013, having trained at the College of Sound Healing with Simon Heather.

I had thought for many years that music and sound had a healing role to play in life. A long meandering journey finally brought me to Sound Healing, which just makes perfect sense to me.

I love the work that I do with Sound, whether it be one to one treatments, Sound Baths or working with groups toning and chanting. I use Native American Flutes, Tibetan and crystal bowls and other healing instruments along with my most amazing Nepalese Singing Gong.

“Chant is not an obscure musical ritual - it is an important tool used by people everywhere to heal their bodies, quiet their minds and bring the sacred into their lives.”
